So, I want a laptop for college.
Here's what I normally do/have on the computer

-World of Warcraft
-Photoshop
-Thousands of photos
-Many different music programs

Should I get a Mac or a PC/Windows?  Now all laptops you get from Windows runs Vista, and I've been warned by many many people to avoid Vista.
I was told if I do gaming, I may want Windows.
I was told that if I want Photoshop, I want a Mac.

Gr, idk what to do.  I just want a fast laptop (NO GAMING LAG, PLEASE!!!!)  that can hold all of my stuff and run well.  Also, I kind of like the look of the Mac.

AAAAANNND, Apple is having this deal where I could get an iTouch with a purchase of a MacBook.

If you think one or the other, do you have any suggestions for specific models?

For college you'll have little time for using those things. Think more along the lines of what programs you'll be using to write papers and to do research.

the answer is simple dude. Get a mac.

Hands down for music a Mac is the best. I have a macbook pro and I use logic which is amazing and does everything.
Also for gaming I played WOW briefly (free trial) and my game ran smooth with my graphics set to better setting when my friends PC was choppy with lower settings.
Photoshop works flawless with a mac too.

Basically.... PC sucks and I will never buy a PC again. Ever

because your OS has a huge impact on your frame rate when using two DIFFERENT computers.

your friends pc probably had an inferior graphics card and/or processor.

you clearly know nothing about fair comparisons.

Our computing lives is simple, everything works; everything is well equipped and we have lots of little touches that make it awesome. Not to mention that whole not getting a virus thing...

os, operating system

basically what he was compairing in terms of gaming effectiveness between a pc and a mac is irrelivent since he was using machines with two different sets of hardware (graphics cards, processors, RAM etc)

therefore his argument in regards to playing games is irrelivent. it's like compairing apples to oranges.
