This is a computer problem. It's a little complicated, so I hope you understand.

(All of the following happened about a month ago)
I have an Windows XP. It was acting very strangely, so I restored it back a few weeks.

Before I restored it, I un-installed some games from my computer.

After I restored it, the games were still "there". They weren't actually on my hard drive, but the folders were still there, and the option to "play!" was still there. I tried deleting all these things, but most of the time my computer would error, and say it couldn't find the file.

I tried re-installing these games today, but one of the games, which is Morrowwind, says it is already installed, but of course I can't run it.

What do I do? I just want to play my games again.

Did you go to the Programs list and see if it is fully un-installed?

Go to http://www.ccleaner.com/ and download the program. Run it, and it will delete any old files etc. that are left on your computer from before, as well as those pesky "cookies" and "temp files". It's perfectly safe, most people I know use it, myself included.

Ok well that means it's probably still got some data in the registry that need deleting.

Click Start > Run > type regedit and hit enter

Click Edit > Find and search the name of the game and delete the results with the game name in them.

If that doesn't work then search the name of the developer or publisher of the game and do the same.

When I go to the Programs list, I see the names of the games, but it claims it takes up no space. When I search for the files, they come up, but when I try to click on them, it errors.

Try deleting the Morrowwind registry keys.

Taken from http://forums.uesp.net/viewtopic.php?t=12793&sid=5f54134aa11a1d147b8aa14ee7442cd4

Run Registry Editor (Windows XP)
1. Click the Start button, select Run, type regedt32, and click OK.

Run Registry Editor (Windows Vista)
1. Click the Start button, click in the Start Search box, type regedit, and press Enter (or double-click Program: Regedit).

Delete Morrowind Registry Key
1. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE.
2. Double-click the Bethesda Softworks key to expand it.
3. Right-click the Morrowind key, select Delete, and click Yes.
4. Close Registry Editor.
5. Click any EMPTY part of the Desktop once, then press F5 (Refresh). Engineer's tip: This forces Windows to reload the registry files into memory on-the-fly, saving a lengthy Windows restart (to reload them)!

I don't see a Bethesda Softworks key thing. I only see one thing, actually.

Actually, nvm what I just said. I see what I think is a bunch of manual controls. I see stuff like "Always Run" and "Pixel Color"

If all else fails you could always wipe your harddrive completely clean and reinstall windows and your games again.
