My Desktop just did a short beep and then a long beep. the screen wont come on. the only way to turn it off is to shut off the PSU and when i flip it on. the PC turns on by its self. And just keeps doing a short beep then a long one.

Anyone know what that means?

Sounds like a possible overheating. Clean the heat sync over your processor.

Depending on what BIOS you have it could mean different things.

That specific beep code means something. Probably a problem with RAM or video card. The link from espresso8097 is very helpful in finding what the code means. (You need to know what kind of motherboard/BIOS you have)

yeah normally RAM or GPU issue but you need to see what your bios says about the beep codes
