Damn, I wish I still had my protocol outlines from that infrastructure project I did... It was awesome, we drew this penguin canon, and assuming you had 25 people operating canons, and an infinite number of penguins. you could achieve a speed of 1kb/hour.

And no, this is not a joke. I actually turned that in on as school project. Got an A to. Seriously, what kind of instructor assigns a project, due on April First, where you get to chose an area and mock up a plan on better optimizing there communications infrastructure. The North Poll was the most obvious choice. And since they dont have internet, a penguin canon is an improvement. Which was how I manage to get an A. It was amazing.
