I really wanted to get my nape pierced for a while, but I know those kind of piercings can be difficult and reject a lot etc. So I went to the same place I got my lip pierced, the staff there is very knowledgeable and trustworthy, and I asked one of the people there about the piercing I wanted.
He said nape piercings, using a surface bar, usually take a year to heal and it's because they take up such a large area inside your body that they take so long and often reject.
But there's this new thing that he's been doing. He has these single circular things, I can't remember what they're called, but they look just like the flat part that would stick out of your skin on the end of a surface bar, and they basically get embedded into your skin. They heal super fast and aren't very likely to get infected. So I could just get two of those instead of a surface bar and it would be much easier for me to take care of.
I was wondering if anyone has heard of these and knows what they're called. It's not super important since I'll just go there in a few days and get it done, but I wanted to look up some stuff about them and maybe see what other piercings people have gotten with them since I'm not sure if I want the nape one anymore.
