About 5 minutes ago, I opened my Winamp playlist using Firefox, which I normally use, and when I right-clicked to save it as a html file, I clicked 'Send Link..' by mistake. Normally this would open Outlook express, but I haven't configured Outlook Express because I use Hotmail. Instead, the error message came explaining that Outlook Express hasn't been configured, ect. I closed the error message, then a whole heap of IE windows opened, one by one. I waited for them to finish opening, because as soon as I switched windows, another IE window would open, and so forth. They stopped opening at 62 windows, and I had to close them all one by one before I could use Firfox again. If it helps,  the address of these windows is:

mailto:?body=file%3A%2F %2F%2FC%3A% 255CDOCUME~1%255CBrooke%2 55CLOCALS~1%255CTemp%25 5CWHTAD.tmp.html&subject=

Please copy and paste, then delete any spaces in the above address, as I can't post more than 100 charatcers in a row without spaces.

I've run Ad-Aware (picked up 3 new critical objects), and AVG is going now.

I haven't configured Outlook Express because I use Hotmail.

Therefore I do not have a default email client. It doesn't matter now anyway, because the problem hasn't occurred since.

in windows you will have a default mail client if you have configured it or not. if you have hotmail, go into IE. goto Tools -> internet options. then the "Programs" tab and then where it says "email:" click down and select hotmail and click ok, now next time you click on a mailto link it will open up a new messages in hotmail.
