Meh, I just find VLC handy. Not only does it cover every Codec ever, it's fairly easy to run from command line. Sometimes I just run my desktops music by SSH-ing from my laptop across the room because I'm too lazy to get up.

it sucks at running .flv

also i've had dvd codec issues on multiple computers and os's

Internet - I used FF but it lags like shit now

Media player - I use WMP classic

Instant messenger - MSN/AIM

Microsoft office for school

EDIT: Forgot, RapidShare Manager or a bittorrent thing.
Regardless - torrents suck cock.

Ahh, might explain it. I don't tend to run many .flv files, nor have I watched a DVD in months. These days I just watch movies off my hard drive.
