I just suck at making people like me.
One thing you have to learn that you can't make people like you, this is not fun or fair. You can be yourself and be a nice, kind, caring person which will draw people into you. Also SMILING helps, my counselor said this to me the other day, it makes people think "oh she is friendly lets talk to her" rather than looking at your feet in nervousness.
I'm going to give my personal opinion here though, have you ever thought of getting some professional help it's just I've seen your posts around here and you seem to have such issues with yourself that I think only a professional would be able to help you cope and come to terms with. This might be why people find it difficult because if you have big problems sometimes it can put others off as they don't know how to help so they kinda drift away. Also a professional can help more than you realise I have been though my fair share and to be honest, didn't think it would help but it's because I didn't help myself at all.
It's about wanting help for yourself to change and be the person you want to be, and they do help with ways of dealing and producing strategies and planning with you ways that you can slowly take steps to become a better and happier you.
About the boyfriend, I'm sorry to hear about it however you do need to learn to love yourself before someone else can love you. Yes it's always great to have someone to lean on but sometimes it is too much to deal with someone who has so many problems with their self esteem and confidence.
The best possible advice I could ever give you would to be seek professional help and advice, as a teen site can only do so much.
