This was brought up on something I was watching, and I wanted your opinion on it.

(This has more to do with Horrors and Actions)
In sequels, for example Alien, and Aliens, and Anaconda, and Anaconda 2, there are 1 Bad-guy at the first film, but usually in the second there are more than 1.

I was wondering.

In films, do you think it's better having one bad-guy/creature/villain etc or a bunch of (as stated before)?

Do you find it more...terrifying or exciting?

If there's only one it means they're going to be a hell of a lot harder to kill and also ensures there's going to be points where the viewers think they've been stopped and even though subconsciously you know they're going to be back it will still scare you when it happens.

But at the same time if there is loads of them the same thing can be achieved =/

Sometimes if there are loads of conflicting enemies coming from different angles it gets confusing.

The number of antagonists really don't contribute to the quality of the movie.  Whether 1, or thousands, the storyline and the dialogue are what makes it good to me.

If we're talking about monster movies, I like it when there's just one.  Makes the thing doing the killing all the more menacing when it's causing all that shit on it's own.

But with human bad guys, I like it when there's one main bad guy, with a bunch of fun henchmen running around doing their bidding.  Like in Die Hard or any James Bond movie.

u used bad examples, unless ur talknig about ONLY sequels

i think it depends on what the film is like, if they make it work and interlock well then it doesn matter how many baddies there are :P
can b done really well
but tends to only b done in terrible sequels lol
