this summer i decided that i was going to force myself into shape, and i think ive been doing a decent job of it...before i could barely lift myself off the ground when doing pushups, but now i can do them just fine. i swim continuous laps across my grandmothers pool, and when im off work i try to walk/jog around the track...the thing is i never weighed myself...partially because i really hate seeing that number on the scale, knowing how fat i am...so i kinda avoided it because when i weigh myself i sorta feel down on myself like i can't do it.
i can't even tell you how many times ive went on diets but failed...but honestly i think ive got it going for me...the only problem is i never really know how much weight im losing.
today however my mom bought one of those little electronic scales for herself...and honestly i felt tempted to stand on it, even though i was scared to see the number. but i did it anyway when she wasn't around and i felt terrible...my goal is to get under the 200 pound weight limit by the end of summer...that gives me another 2 months until school starts. im just tired of being overweight..it just feels unattractive, and i want more than anything to be stronger and healthier...
and when i saw that i weighed 240 pounds i felt like shit..i honestly didn't think i looked that fat ...even though i probably had to of lost some weight from all the vigorous exercises ive been doing i still feel down on myself. if only i could knock down that 40 pounds id be a much happier person. i don't want to be one of those fat lazy people who don't do anything about their weight, and it kind of encourages me when i see people bigger than me porking down jelly donuts (or whatever the case is).can anyone give me advice on weight loss, like things i can do and what not? also i think i need some help planning my meals...lately ive been eating mostly whatever it is that my family has, along with fruits and veggies for lunch and snacks. but is there anything else i can do?

The key is to burn more calories than you are eating.

So really, exercise AND diet.

East small meals often, drink a LOT of water, and eat a LOT of fruit and veggies.

I really wish you luck, you sound like you're trying so hard
