My chest hurts, like I'm on the verge of a panic attack, I'm achy, I'm always tired. I feel like I'm about to cry all the time. I just feel empty, blank and alone. and I  try to be happy, I really do, because I do have a lot of reasons to be happy but it only makes me feel worse. I know it sound over dramatic, but everything just seams so pointless. Everything I ever wanted out of life I just seam to have lost. I'm young[14] and I have a bright future ahead of me, but every time I get my hopes up about something, I get let down. And it seams like the littlest things bum me out, I used to never be like that, I used to not care about anything. I'm certainly not going to go off and kill myself, no way, I'm never giving up, but I just HATE feeling like this. What's wrong with me? what should I do? I try to be optimistic but it just seams to fake.

You're depressed.  See a counselor.

you can pm me anytime if you want.

you should really see a counselor, or psychologist.

We can't know whether or not you're depressed, but we can try to help you find out and get support. Just remember a lot of the people on this site are about the same age as you, and we're not experts. :)

Hormones start to act up, especially for girls, around your age, and they can make you react strongly to little things that normally wouldn't even bother you. But if you've felt this way for several weeks, you don't have to put up with it, and it might be a good idea to go to a doctor and ask them what they think.

I think most people will suggest you see a doctor or talk to your school counsellor (if there is one at your school).

do you want to talk more about the things that have gotten you down lately? what's let you down? what have you lost?
