So...discussing my "depression" with my mom went exactly as I thought.

Not good.

She actually kinda brought it up...saying how my grandmother was saying she thinks I should go talk to someone about how I'm feeling, and such. (I guess she picked up on it)

So I told my mom that I was already interested in doing so, and that I told my dad about that already. She asked me why and stuff, and instead of outwardly saying "because you constantly make me feel like shit, you're overbearing, and forceful and i can't stand you really." I just said, I'd been feeling depressed a lot lately and that it was getting worse lately. And I don't know what trigger5ed it, it just started, and got worse and worse.

My mother wasn't "supportive" or anything...she basically said everything she's said or hinted before:
I'm not depressed, I'm just rude, and not "social" or whatever.
I need to show interest in all people, not just people I like.
I shouldn't tell my grandmother about how I feel because then she'll just keep trying to help and won't stop and will be all up in my moods (which sounds pretty alright to me, but whatever)
A psychologist or therapist isn't going to help me at all.
No one can help me but me.
It's totally normal to be depressed, or have some level of depression; after all it's a depressing world we live in.
If I listened to the things she said, I wouldn't be depressed. (note: It's usually the things she syas that makes me depressed)
I should try helping myself first (which I already have)
If I took her advice I'd be fine.
If I acted happy even when I'm not, i wouldn't be depressed. (Yes, I've tried that...many times.)
I need to be more active (Truth. I was actually planning on working on that on Tuesday, the day after we get back home)

She basically told me it's all my fault, and I'm just an abnormal person, and that I'm not "depressed"
Which isn't helping me at all...thanks to her I feel even shittier now.
Thanks for the help and understanding Mom...thanks.

Go anyway. Don't listen to her, seriously please don't. She doesn't know shit(no offence), and if you already tried helping yourself and it didn't work then you need to talk to someone else. I hate that she's not supporting you. It must be really hard. Would your dad or grandma give you some money to go and see a psychologist? Or is there a free one at your school or college?

I'm home schooled...another one of my mother's "brilliant" ideas.

No offense taken.
My dad said he'd talk to her about it...but that was ages ago. :/
I'm gonna go to him about it once I get back home...

Argh, so then it's hard because you don't get the school friend support network. Which really helps in times like these. =(

I really recommend that. Don't let him put it off, it's important to you, and I think it's unfair that your mum is saying that stuff. It's only going to make you feel worse.
