What I find truly amazing is the propensity of social analysts to "read" racially based motivation into any event or phenomenon. In particular the phrases highlighted by the OP are nothing more than occurences which may be motivated by other causes than "white flight".
The mere existence of a phenomenon which separates one race from another could be simply due to
- the greater interest of some educated and professional individuals in the features and options available in Facebook
- the particular format of Facebook which might appeal more to certain demographics such as educated and professional individuals
- the fact that the features provided by Myspace tend to respond more to he needs of younger people and students.
Since in the English speaking whites tend to be more represented in the educated and professional demographics then it would be natural that whites may be found in greater numbers in Facebook.
I have many friends and co-workers of differnt races and have invited them to Facebook. Among my friends, co-workers and other professional and social acquaintances I have an impressive network or persons of various races. Many of them were actually already present in Facebook when I established them as facebook friends.
There is no real "white flight" or any other racial phenomenon here. Simply a greater move among those with college degrees and in professional circles towards the features provided by facebook,
The simple fact is that facebook is a much richer environment and as more people realize this they often favor facebook over myspace
