It's an accepted practice though and not that many sites use anti-hotlinking. I have a hard time believing it was done just because it's nice. That's a hell of a lot of extra bandwidth LW is going to need to pay for. Wonder if there was some kind of a letter or something, bwahaha.

Then again web hosting is cheap as chips these days. The added bandwidth may only cost a few bucks.
