Are you 100% sure that you blocked him, and didn't add him as a friend? Like chasey said, I would try unblocking him and reblocking him. If the problem continues, it might be a bug or just an issue that can be easily fixed, hopefully. Just check your friends list and make sure. (:

For some reason, if you've had the member as a friend before you blocked them, you don't de-friend them.  Since he is still on your friends list, you will continue receiving the alerts.  Delete them as a friend to get rid of this.
