It is a lie. Marriage has always been changing. Calling something traditional marriage is just calling our contemporary marriage ideals "traditional". If you really want traditional marriage should we go back to beating our wives? Traditions and customs change, that is how our system works. This is my gripe about gay marriage.

Everything about marriage is going wayyyy overboard lately. Who even cares any more. Gays should be able to marry who ever they want. People say they "hate" them because they can't reproduce...well, some straight couples can't either.

A marraige doesn't constitute the beating of wives. and a gay marriage is not a marriage its called a civil partner ship.. and not all men beat their wives, this was a tabboo that was seen as the male being more superior to a woman.
