Well, for one there's really no reason why homosexual couples shouldn't adopt; they're just as good as heterosexual couples at raising children.

Why are three good reasons for people to adopt?

1. A pre-existing child gets a home.
2. A family is created.
3. Everyone deserves a family.

Reasons against adoption:

1. It might turn out they're unable to provide for the child. (I doubt this happens very often since they're watched over)
2. When adopting a child with a terminal/mental illness, or one that was abused when younger, they can require years of therapy and TLC.
3. One might not realise how hard being a parent actually is.
