alright well i'm a guy and i'm going to be a freshman in college this fall and i'm gonna live in the dorms. i've never had a roommate before. and i usually sleep in just my boxers. no shirt, no pants/shorts, just boxers. if you, were my roommate would you find that weird? would it make you uncomfortable/awkward? would you say anything?

No, I'd say that's perfectly normal.  You should relax and be yourself, otherwise you'll give off a weird vibe and people will avoid you.     Unless you're normally weird, like me, and people avoid you anyway.  In that case, sleep naked.
