Because they have pre-existing views and just assume that a young mum won't be a great mum. Personally, I believe anyone younger than 23 is very young to have children, but sometimes it just happens - it doesn't mean that they'll be a bad parent.

Because the majority ARE idiots. They can't even wipe their own ass clean, how do you expect them to clean a baby's? Regardless, I agree with you though. Not all young mothers should be treated this way :)
