Alright, so I'm really into movies and want to be a filmmaker one day. There's this thing called Campus Movie Festival, where they give college student filmmakers all necessary equipment (cameras, editing stuff, etc.) and they have a week to make a short movie about whatever they want.
then they show them in a movie festival at each campus, etc.
Well, I'm not going to sign up, but they are looking for interns to help promote it and get the word out. I emailed the guy for more details and he said these are things i have to do:
- Attend CA Retreat/Training to learn about CMF and meet the CMF team, along with other area CAs
- Promote CMF on your campus, working with CMF staff and promotions team to make the events possible, including:
- Hang CMF posters (100)
- Table/hand out flyers with CMF team (minimum of 3 of first 5 CMF promotion days)
- Create unique promotion ideas
- Suggest best ways to encourage participation on your campus
- Encourage students to attend the finale
- Develop marketing strategy for CMF on your campus
- Help CMF team meet/exceed campus team goals
- Help with launch and collection, including setup, breakdown, equipment distribution/collection, etc.
- Invite friends and post to clubs and groups on facebook to get word out about CMF and campus finale
- Reach out to professors via email or in person and ask permission to present in classes
- Reach out via email or in person to student groups, Greek organizations, and Residence Life to promote CMF on campus
- Find at least 3 students and 2 faculty/staff members to participate in judging
- Find one student to help MC the CMF finale
- Help with campus finale, including setup, breakdown, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Also, it's unpaid, and only one month, but it might be good to put on my resume and get a good reference. Plus, anything with movies sounds great to me.
Should I sign up to do this? Do you think some of these jobs/tasks are do-able?
