ED = eating disorder, obviously

Do you criticize those who have EDs because you can say that you once related to how they feel/had an ED and understand why they're acting in the way they are? Or do you use the excuse that you've seen what an ED has done to a friend or something and think you know what it's about/like, and feel like that gives you a right to call people who deal with EDs stupid? j/w

I'm gonna say it's more of the second, with people thinking they understand the situation when they don't.

I don't think people with EDs are stupid, but I've seen several friends who started throwing up just because they thought it was a joke, and easy, and ended up with real serious bulimia. I think that is bull-shit, when kids play around with stuff like that, because they see it on TV. There was a particular movie that set it off.
