I've never heard of that manufacturer before, but it looks pretty cool. Looks kinda like a mix of an Acura TSX and a Honda Accord.

Maybe because the op's in AUSTRALIA.
And the car will be coming to USA pretty soon. It will be sold under the Chevy label, as a replacement to the Cobalt. As for the car, they look pretty good. I can't help much more than that. I know some versions use an Ecotec engine, which I have not heard much bad about.
I read a review about it, and they reckon is lacks power ... it's only a 4cylinder though so seriously how much would you expect. So does this mean they're not making the Astras anymore?

The petrol version has 140hp 1.8 which is around the normal level for the basic
engines from a compact, but the Deisel version which has a bit more power(150hp) is extremely torquey, about the same as the Commodore V6 so its much faster. Yes its replacing the Astra here.
