He's an only child. He has no aunts or uncles or grandparents left alive. His dad died about 8 years ago and left him about £200,000 because the hospital fucked up and they got some compensation. The guy I went to school with bought a £50,000 porsche. I heard yesterday that his mother had a stroke a few weeks ago and has been in hospital since and is in a pretty bad way. She's so bad in fact that she doesn't recognise her own son.
Now I don't want a list of fucking "OMG" AND "Thats so sad" &c., because thats not what this is about. This isn't some stupid topic for internet people to read and then move on. Hey, life's like that, nobody can do anything about it. People have much worse situations, at least he has his mom left, some people are orphans who never get a mother, you know, there is much worse.
It's sucks. But that's life.

No, she was fine before right? He had a proper mom before right? Who's being dumb now?
Er, is mum clearly isn't going to get any better. He has no other family. So when she's kicked out of hospital who's going to have to look after her? Who's going to have to pay to put her in a home?
He's only 19 too. I would consider his situation a lot worse than an orphan considering they have a home and foster parents who are always respectable people. You clearly can't put two and two together.
