A world filled with hate
War and governmental power
These are the people who decide our fate?
With lies on the news
Who do you believe anyways?
Paparazzi and camera crews
Exposure to the world that ignores the truth
Starvation, creation of all this frenzy
Murder, devastation, family cries
Don't listen to them children, look around
Believe what you think is right
They cover their lies with their eyes on the ground
Eye contact, not an option
Can't you see they deceive you to believe?
That their opinions
Are your opinions
The time has come to turn away
And open up to everything happening
To the deaths and the conviction of innocent people with imagination
With hopes and dreams of their own
But risking becoming disowned from
Their country that has only one thrown
Propaganda, media lies, what to believe
You will never understand what it is like
To have your own thoughts and not to deceive
So caught up in your gorgeous celebrities
Competing to attend the very best parties
Get your mind away from the mirror
There are things more important
That checking your make up or fixing your hair
Sometimes life just isn't fair
To the kids in third world countries
To them just finding food and a place to sleep
Are their own objectives and priorities
Debt, war, lies; the tell you nothing of the truth
They can't risk their reputation
They'd rather make us suffer
And not know what is happening in our own nation
Why were we tricked into choosing such leaders?
Supposed to be great men
We found out how they really are such cheaters
Don't they know how many kids are dead?
Everywhere on the streets and what difference
It would make if someone took a stand and said
This isn't right, we can't be led into
Such devastation, destruction screams
Muffled by guns, your lawyers sue
For you to live rich and us pay for
What they do, not us, this time stand up, speak up?
Stop listening to them children
You don't need them anymore
