I was reading an article on the amount Michael Jackson's estate will have to pay as part of a "death tax", and the amount is estimated to be over $80 million! Apparently, when you die with over $3.5 million in assets, you have to pay 45% of what you own. Now, I'm no Michael sympathizer, but when did it become okay for the government to essentially steal the years of hard work one might put into an estate so that their descendants could live a nice life? I'll never earn that kind of money in my life, guaranteed, but looking at something like that almost kills the ambition I would even have to make that kind of money. The United States government is bullshit, now I know why people keep their money overseas.

It's not his estate to begin with.

Oh well, at least we aren't a police state yet. And besides, when that does happen it'll be kinda fun to patrol the streets in an APC. Big evil corrupt government does have it's perks.

Why would they turn our country into a police state, when they can just screw us anyways under the guise of a "legit" government?

Power breeds desire for power. There are some things that people need to be forced to do. I sure hope it doesn't come to that

There seems to be some sort of cycle to politics. We may well be on the downturn.

Grab guns and shoot them.  Thats the only thing they will listen to.  Until enough people are willing to risk their lives in order to hang the power brokers nothing will change.
