I have studied Demonology and the Occult for 10 years. It was not a mental illness at all.

How does that prove anything? People who have studied the human body and illness have studied about mental illness for 10 years. They're called doctors, and I trust them a hell of a lot more than someone who studies "demonology". There's absolutely NO feasible evidence even hinting at the existence of demons and spirits. The 16th century was a long time ago, we've got advanced medical training and equipment now to show us what we used to have to guess about.
