So I bought my xbox exactly 2 years and 1 week ago today.


I know this because today my xbox took a shit and after checking my 2 year warranty I discovered  that is ended 7 days ago.


If I go buy a new Elite, open the box, switch the consoles and take the old one back how will they know? There's a serial number sticker on the console but it peels off so I'm thinking I'm good?

Anything else I need to know?

Wow, that would probably work. just make sure you're allowed to return it. Sometimes they only buy it back for a reduced amount, not take it back entirely.

No they won't. Anything that's been opened is always checked, and a 2 year old XBox is gonna have a little wear and tear. Plus, if you switch the serial numbers, they're going to think, "Hmm, why is a brand new serial sticker peeling off?"

Are you able to return it after opening the item? And if so, what excuse would you use as to your reasoning for returning it. You couldn't say you didn't want it since it would be opened.

i think there might be an anti-tamper sticker that once is broken the warranty is voided.

My xbox looks brand new.

If anything I'll wait a week to take it back so it doesn't look so suspicious.
