How do I tell my doctor I need aderall? I don't want her to think I'm one of those college kids trying to get buzzed. I really need it...it helps me a lot...I just don't know how to go and tell her in a mature way?

You aren't supposed to take prescription pills that aren't prescribed to you. Going to your doctor and asking for a specific pill that you know works won't get you what you want, they'll know you took it illegally and probably make sure that you don't get that drug.

Now if you seriously have a problem and need medicine for it then go to your doctor and let them know what's wrong and ask them if there's anything they could prescribe to you. Don't be surprised if they don't give you adderall, I'm sure there are other medicines out there ADD/ADHD. If you seriously do need them though, you should be able to get them. If not, I wouldn't even try.

If you don't have ADD, don't take it. Believe me, you THINK you'll do better studying, yet alot of students tend to use Adderall for all-nighters and end up bombing their exams 'cause they didn't remember anything. If you can already concentrate, the best way to study is to take care of your body - get enough sleep, eat healthy, exercise. And anybody who says that Adderall is hard to abuse is BSing you. I have friends who tried the instant-release once, and 15 mins. later they were high. You don't need the stuff. And if you think you do, you're probably psychologically dependant on it already.

Believe in your natural abilities to suceed, and you'll do better than any drug would have you do!

To answer your question though if you do think you need adderall as a script its not too hard to attain from a doctor these days.
If you go into your doctors office and tell them that for the past few months or past like half year you've had a problem paying attention and it just seems to get worse and worse as the months roll on. Tell them that you've found yourself forgetting things easily, and that you want to know if there is anything they can do to fix this.
They will probably follow up with a blood test to see if you have "ADD", I'm pretty sure the doctor will come back and tell you that they found a small amount in your system and they should proceed to prescribe you with either ridalin (in doses ranging from 10-20mg), or ADDERALL (in doses ranging from 10-30mg). The doctor will choose either drug depending on how bad you belive your case is. If the doctor prescribes you with ridalin don't fret, he will tell you to try this out for a month, so at the end of the month go back to him and tell him you need something stronger or you would like to try something else. That usually gets them to give you the oh so wonderful adderall :)

Though i'm sure someone above has already said it though if you dont think you have add, don't go out and get it man. This stuff is highly addictive and when used improperly it ends in long nights of insomnia, a massive decrease in appetite, and a list of other problems.

You couldn't be MORE wrong. Adderall IS simply a brand name for 3 different amphetamine (speed) salts put together. Take 80-150 mg of Adderall and then tell me it is really hard to enjoy recreationally. It's Schedule II speed you're taking sir, and if you take enough you'll be tweakin for fuckin days.
