Ok so my laptops a school laptop which has been at home for 3 years and i only use it at home, but it still requires logging on to windows everytime i turn on my computer

my account has full admin rights and  was wondering if i can turn off the log on so that i go straight onto my desktop when i log on

does anyone know what im on about? if so could you help =]

You can turn on automatic logging in in the control panel under users and accounts, however I wouldn't recommend that at all for security reasons, and most definitely not for the administrator account. Create a limited account to do that if you want, but you might as well be signing your life away if you do it with admin.

i know that on vista, you can go to screen saver and click the box:  "on resume, display logon screen

plus, if you go to account settings and remove the password, that'll help, you won't have to log in, but you will have click the user box, if you have other accounts.  as far as i know, there is no way for the computer to go straight to ONE user, if there are other users on the computer.
