In my western civ class my teacher who's jewish (you'll understand later), decided we were going to have a debate, so we were put into groups and had to spend the next week gathering information. The basic idea of the debate was each group has to explain why their civilization is the best (There were the Mesopotamians, Egyptians, Hebrews, Persians, Phoenicians, and Assyrians), we were assigned Assyrians. Whoever won the group would get an extra grade. We did a great job getting info and coming up with strong points, we even met a few times outside of class to work on our argument. Then when the debate came we found out she wasn't going to let people counterpoint other people's points. All each group could do was present information and the teacher would decide the winner. Still my group clearly did the most work and presented the best information.
While one of the people in my group were talking about the leaders of the Assyrians the teacher butts in a goes "Ahh yes Sargon(I think it was) he was the one that ripped off people's flesh and burned people alive, much like Hitler, the Assyrians were very similar to the Nazis"
After the whole thing she said the Hebrews won, hmm no bias there I'm sure.
