Being a french movie, I expected quite a bit with High Tension as their horror/thriller movies have gradually grown on me, as has my expectations. High Tension is another good example on how the French directors understand the horror formula.
Not only is it a good film overall, it still jumps at viewers with the musical score being perfect for the scenario. The acting is superb and the story remains intact.
Summed up, it's just a survival movie when two friends go visit one of the friend's family members when a mysterious man shows up and turns it into a slaughterhouse.
The Good:
+ Enjoyable movie from start to finish
+ Superb acting.
+ The twist is NOT expected.
The Bad:
- It's all in french
- Slows down, speeds up, then back again.
Final Say:
What really earned bonus points was the twist at the end. I did not expect it and it threw it in at the oddest time. However, I still don't understand how the movie worked, taking in effect the twist. Check it out :)

8/10
