18 and up. Sounds fucked to the kids and yes I know it wouldnt stop them really. But the thing is between the ages of like 7-18 you should be focused on school and your future. Not getting high. Save it for an 18th b day gift. Cake and an oz of some kush.

Get a high school diploma and then smoke. Just seems to be a real big trend that smokers don't have much ambition. NOT ALL. But alot. And its a gate way drug. So its kinda understable that its not legal in the first place.

Make it legal. The industry would make so much money. And the govt could profit. And focus their efforts on stopping real problems.

That's not a realistic problem. Weed is the most commonly used illegal substance, but I've heard little of anyone driving doing something absurd while high. Not to say I agree with driving high, but from personal experience I can attest that even at my most stoned, driving did not seem anywhere near as tedious as when fairly drunk. The issue here is making responsible choices. Blaming a drug for irresponsible choices is easy, but impractical. You may not fully control how the drug interacts with your body at the time you take it, but you certainly control how much and in what way you take it.

On that note, Placebo Effect has a point, but Cannabis is NOT NOT NOT a gateway drug. It has a gateway effect, in that a lot of times people who try cannabis find out it's not the terrible monstrosity waiting to consume your soul and render you inoperable, as the government and some sketchy scientists will have you believe. Because of this, people may undermine the purported effects of other drugs deemed harmful. For most people it's not a gateway to getting high, it's a gateway to learning your own truth about something. The problem here isn't the subject itself, but the boundless misinformation and propaganda out there. Know your source.

It has to be noted that there would have to be a viable way to tax it as this is probably the number one reason why any government would legalise it.

Also everyone who is against the legalisation have to realise the benefits, apart from the obvious ability to smoke legally.  There is drug trafficking all over the world and everyone has to realise that the majority of the weed smoked all over the world isn't from a "friends green house".  It's from huge drug organisations that commit other crimes which would be reduced if their profits were cut by the legal, and local, cultivation of Marijuana.

Hopefully it will enlighten you because clearly you do not understand that Marijuana is VERY far from being dangerous. It has a shitload of medical benefits, and only ONE negative health effect... being the inhalation of smoke, which can be completely removed via Vaporizer or Cannabutter (Marijuana butter used for cooking).
