I am a college freshman and i somehow managed to finish all my basics in 1yr. (after this semester and summer classes--i'll be done). I am having trouble picking a major and i need one by the fall. How did u pick a major and if you're out of college, was it worth it?

I picked what I love and I'm happy.

I've switched from being in Drama and English multiple times, offically, so now I'm double majoring, but I enjoy both of those classes so at the end of the day I'll graduate with a degree in both.

I picked accounting as my major.  It was between that or business management, and my reason behind was that I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do, and figured that anything business related is usually a pretty well-rounded degree.  And I'd be happy if my job was anything like on The Office.  XD

I'm double majoring in Music and Philosophy and am taking some German classes for fun. With the economy the way it is I'm a little worried I won't have many job opportunities (not that I would've been drowning in offers anyway), but I like it a lot. Due to some technical issues in the beginning of the year it looked like I wasn't going to be able to major in Music, and I was pretty crushed for a while until I was able to work out a deal with the faculty.

Just take classes you think will be interesting and work it out from there.

Our fine arts department is in the basement of one of the larger buildings. It's small, but it seems that if I milk it for all its worth I'll come out alright.

I'm a freshman too and my major has got me all out of sorts. With the economy all it's really boiling down to is practicality/realistic opportunities vs. what I want.
