Ah yes, Burn After Reading. My friends recommended this movie as I always had it on the list to watch, but found reasons not to watch it. It was a spent 2 hours (not well/bad spent).
Basically these low-lifes get their hands on a CD with CIA documents and other bullshit. So like all middle-class Americans, they don't wanna give something for a lot of nothing. Their plan? Blackmail and make the owner pay for the data back.
Sadly though, the movie doesn't have a lot going for it. It has a lot of big namers in it - Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and John Malkovich - but like a lot of over-budgeted movies, there isn't much to say about it.
The Good:
+ Couple funny moments
+ A lot of big name actors/tresses
+ Like 3 different stories going on at once
+ A new concept for a movie...
The Bad:
- ...but didn't follow through with what could have been
- Malkovich's lines were 80% f-bombs
- Too much emphasis on getting surgery for bigger breasts, better face of female's part
Final Say:
Put it this way, the movie can be summed up by the last line of the movie. That's how bad the story/plot is. I waited the WHOLE movie for something interesting to happen to spark up a point to the movie, but never really got it. Like I said though, there's not a lot to say about it. Watch it and let me know what you think...
