Ok, whenever i go and try to log into my AIM account on my computer it says connection failed, but i have internet and everything, i used to be able to go on but recently i'm not able to. My firewall allows it and i don't know what else to do to make it work

Btw- No other IM clients work anymore either, they just wont let me log in

I doubt re-installing them would fix it, what are the odds of them all fucking up at once? Obviously either the port that aim uses is blocked by your router or you're typing in the wrong password.

First make 100% sure that your anti-virus software's firewall *AS WELL* as Windows Firewall (if they are both on..) aren't blocking the program. Even if it says they're not and your firewall protection scale thingey is on high it won't work so then put it on medium or low just to check. Make sure you put it back on medium after though.

Also after trying my idea if you've run your own scanner allready use this one:

Could be multiple issues. Try resetting your modem, I get a problem from time to time where IM works, but browsing doesnt. Odd?

Try resetting it, then worry about the other suggestions above, they're all valid.

Edit: Spelling, I should also mention by reset I mean turn the modem off @ the power for 10 seconds before switching it back on. When the internet works again, try your IM client.
