Recently i've been dealing with a virus on my computer, as seen here: http://www.golivewire.com/forums/topic.cgi?topic=184438, and i think it's been taken care of, for the most part.  It has erased all of my parents emails, set everthing back to default(as far as windows goes, and it makes everything seem as if i'm opening it for the first time.  Fortunately, none of my files were deleted.  However, now my internet is rather blown up looking, as in the font is rather large.  Is there anyway to fix that?

Another problem I'm having is that evertime i log on to the computer, it pops up an install type window asking me if I want to run "lockx.exe".  I always hit no of course, but I'm wondering if there's anyway I can get rid of this.  It says it's trying to run from my WINDOWS file, but I don't see anything, and I don't know enough about computers to know what should and shouldn't be in there.

That's all i can think of now, hopefully that's all there is period, but who knows.  Thanks for any help that can be given, it will be most appreciated.

EDIT: I thought of another thing....

Microsoft Word no longer works(not sure about the other Office applications).  Whenever I try to open it, it says that it's trying to install it, but it can't because it can't find the source.

(Could this be moved to the Virus section? I wasn't thinking when I placed it here.  Sure it works here, as it is "general", but the Virus section just seems like it suits this better.  If it requires to much effort or whatever, don't worry about it, just a thought really)

It sounds liek everything just got reverted back to 800-600.  Right click on the desktop and go down to properties.  Then go to settings and go tot screen area and switch it down there.  Hopefully that fixes it.

Even if I'm the only one laughing its still worth doing.
Because, in a world of moral ambiguity, laughter, though
fleeting, is the only certainty.

At the top of your browser window, go to 'View' then down to 'Text Size' and select the one you want or previously had. As for the 'lockx.exe' install pop-up, it's set to ask if you want to start and install it when you log on, remove the reference to it in the WIN.INI file.

no, my desktop is still the same size, it's still at 10-whatever.  It's just my internet that's blown up.  I've gone in the tools to see if I can find anything in there, but alas, nothing.  But I'm not very computer literate so i could very well be missing something.

It's not under 'Tools' it's under 'View' on your browser when it's open, and then 'Text Size', as stated in my previous post.

Sorry, I had started typing that before your post appeared there.  Thanks, this is much better.

However, the "lockx.exe" is still there.  I was wrong about the source file.  it's actually from WINDOWS/System 32.  but i can't seem to find it there either.  I've used my computer's search tool repeatedly, but when I remove it from there, it just comes back.
