I don't like how these are worded.

I waited forever for this

You never know what you have until it's gone
you reget things you said and things you did
and regret the things you didn't say or do
because you were too afraid or never thought to
then when they leave you, you cry yourself to sleep
as you stain your pillow you cling to all you had of them
you wish, hope, and pray that this was just a nightmare
but days soon turn into weeks and weeks into years
and you realize this is all to real and it won't change
Could you have changed it? Could you have saved them?
