why are smart people ugly?

and by ugly i don't mean actual ugly ugliness, i mean they're usually just "different" looking. i mean smart people always seem to have some pronounced feature or a type of awkwardness to their physique. ie: the intellectual guy with a big nose and gangly arms. the intelligent girl with acne and glasses. in my opinion some funny looking features/bodily proportions can be incredibly sexy but i just wonder why it is that smart people always look a little bit "ugly".

because pretty ppl have it easy and dont need to be smart but the rest have to compensate with something which a lot of times turns out to be intelligence.  I think thats a likely explanation for myself and others like me.

A smart person with glasses and braces is just a stereotype. I'm average like have an A average, and I have braces and wear contacts.  And I don't really consider myself ugly either. You just think that because it's been embedded in your brain to think that way, so you pick out features to make people "ugly". It's a persons personal preference and opinion if they think someone is ugly or not.

there was this boy in my photography class. and when he spoke, anything that came out of his mouth was just inteligent words.
he spoke with perfect grammer, never used slang. and he was just so smart and gorgeous, anything he did made me so attracted to him. Everytime he spoke i was just breathless. i couldnt believe that thousands of girls werent after him. i was like so wowed by him. but he had a girlfriend who was also a weird unique inteligent girl. not that prettty, not ugly. she was just different. i think she could be pretty. but she chose not to.  i will always wish he wud be mine :[
