Articles or textbooks or whatever have a picture of a galaxy, which says 'Milky Way' or 'Our galaxy'. How the fuck can we take a picture of our own galaxy (in such a manner that you can see the entire disk)... Can't they just write 'A galaxy'...
With a satalite maybe? Or maybe it's just an assumption picture.

It looks like a real picture, so I'm guessing it is a picture of some other galaxy, taken from Earth. There is no way to take a picture of the exterior of the entire galaxy while being in it.

Well, basically, it would be like trying to take a picture of a car's exterior while sitting in it.
That's possible.

We don't take pictures of galaxies as you conceive them. The model of our galaxy will look the same as the models of other galaxies, regardless of where we are when we get the data for it.
