THis is Shannas friend Metega, I was just wondering girls, how do u prefer for guys to approach you like i don't want to scare girls off or them to think " wow he's weird" ya know, like if you see a girl walking down the street how would you prefer a guy to approach you?  reply back it'd really help me out, i just move to America from France so help with this would be cool.

Personally, I have a rule, I just donet talk to strangers, that basically means that no guy I meet on the street am I gonna start talking to. I just think it's safer that way, as there can be  lot of weirdos walking around and all that.

But if I had to give you advice I'd say first off all, try the suttle approach, do not yell at them, like i've had oi! you, hey you! hey you over there, etc... I hate that. Secondly when you are trying the suttle approach, sya hi, smile, i just noticed you walk by and I thought that I really like your shoes, make a stupid excuse so that you dont sound camp. Say something like my sister wants me to buy a pair for her and I was wondering could you tell me where you got your from, etc. Then carry on talking and laughing, and before you ask her her name, say yours, hi my name is Metega, I'm from France. I'm having quite a hard time getting used to America, laugh and smile* and then say but the people are really nice and helpful, and smile at her, hopefully the rest will follow and you can make your way up to asking her for which area she lives, and then hopefully, what her number is. If you think she's not feelin' you, then just back off dont go for a gamble and ask for her number as she could get really freaked out or even worse pissed off and then you'd ruin your reputation/name and if you see her again she won't even want ot be next to you.

Its simple, really.

See that's where you're wrong, with someone you've never met before, you have to prove first that you're worth their time and that you're not going to harm them. If someone said "Hi my name is" I would think, so? And also I would think you're kinda wasting my time. But if there was a warmer approach to it, I would actually consider talking to this person and opening up to them.
