WigAOK9, wouldnt it be easier to select the flowers with the markie too, then invert select the whole pic, then make the saturation to 0?

HEY BUDDY, I made this topic to help LiveWire members with their specific questions about Photoshop. PLEASE, don't tell me it can't a pain and incredibly frustrating to try to find a Photoshop tutorial for your specific situation. Furthermore, I am NOT doing this for money.

I can EASILY say that I know more about Photoshop than you but that does not mean you know a different way to accomplish the same job. You can ALWAYS learn something new about Photoshop and it never hurts to get help, tips or tricks from someone else.

I would appreciate it if you would stop spamming my topic and move on with your life. Thank you.

Ahh!!! Calm down dude. I didnt mean it that way..... I'm not Einstein, but I have enough brains to tell that you arent trying to gain anything in monetary value.

No, not really…
-You won’t be able to get as much detail.
-You can't control the edges as well or as easily
-One mistake or one extra click of the mouse while using the markie tool and you will have to start all over again.
-Once you finally finished selecting what you want and then change the saturation, you won’t be able to undo or edit your actions.

You can still use the edit undo option in markie tool too.

Yes but that becomes extremely useless when you move on to the next step, when it clears from your history palette or when you save, close and then re-open your project to continue working on it.

I HAVE ONE!!!! I HAVE ONE!!!!!!!!

Remember you Da Duck avatar?  Remember the edges now they were all ragged and jagged and not straight?  How do you do that???

I know how to feather the edge and erase so that it fades out to being transparent but I want the random jaggedy edges please!

You're on break this week so I'm sure you have lots and lots and lots of free time.

I liked the brush tutorial - I had no idea it was that simple to do. Well good, then I can make my own blood brush tool rather than trying to download the legendary one from mysterious sites that I've never heard of.

Also, there are tutorials on the following site for PhotoShop, as well as Flash, and 3D Studio Max:  www.tutorialoutpost.com  I found the "Coloring Line Art Professionally" to be very useful, especially if you're into drwing cartoons or anime in PhotoShop.

I can't remember what you do to invert a selection so that the opposite is selected. I COULD find it but I don't have the concentration because I have a cold (yes, that's a good enough excuse). Help a poor little noob (speaking of which.. 97)

ctrl+shift+I would invert for you. Pressing it again after that would invert it to the origonal selection.

If you want to get rid of the selection completely press ctrl+d to deselect

Rubber sneakers squeak when you walk in them, do you think snakeboots hiss?
I would if I end up being footwear.

You should do a tutorial for the "Extract" tool.... I sometimes have a hard time getting transparency behind the strands of the persons hair.... do you even know what I'm saying?
