It is in my signature I believe, but I would like to point out the URL of a trailer or prevue for a film I have been working on.

Some people on YouTube have spoken of it being funny, but I know not everyone can say they love it.

Note: This is not meant to be only for laughs. There is some serious material in the film.

It could come across as a mockumentary to a degree. There is some reenacted material, some material that is not just "on the spur of the moment". But there is also some material recorded in actual occurrence.

Thank you.

What was your budget? 0?

The sound is terrible, though that is to be expected if you're on a non-low budget, but you could have still used to home made DIY to improve it.

A simple microphone and recording the voice whilst or after shooting, and then sync it with the take during editing can easily solve that issue.

You could also be more creative with your editing FX. What software do you use? If you say windows movie maker i'm going to face palm.

Obviously this is amateur stuff right? or is it purposely done this way?

Well I guess you might face palm, for I have used Windows Movie Maker.

What do you mean by face palm? Do you mean putting the palm in your face or pointing it toward me?

Amateur might be the right word. When you work for only a month at a surf and turf restaurant you might not get much help from that toward equipment.

And I'm sorry if that last line or any part seemed sardonic. I try not to be sardonic.

Facepalm as in a gesture of disbelief or showing shock at stupidity. I used it light heartily. ;)

Ah right i see, as i know a bit of your background, i understand what position you're in now for creating short films etc.

I'm a television and film production student in London and i can be a bit of a picky perfectionist whenever it comes to analysing my own and other people's work. One thing i did learn is how to give and receive constructive criticism and feedback, so i apologize if came across as aggressive, i was under the assumption at first you've been doing this sort of thing for a while.

No doubt you've already thought of this, but save your money, keep practicing on your low budget stuff. I recommend looking into Robert Rodriguez and watching his "Ten Minute Film School" clips, especially for his film 'El Mariachi' which only had a budget of $7,000. But he explains various creative camera and on the spot editing decisions to counter faults and continuity errors to save as much money as possible.

Get a hold on a Mac system and get Final Cut Pro and this other piece of software which i can't remember the name of....damn.

Thank you for your humanity. I have been doing this for a little while, but not years or even a full year. This is a feature film though. I did not expect it to measure up to major studio films or even some renowned independent films in terms of technical quality. I guess one might say its lack of quality was imposed as a result of a tiny budget and congruent to its story, though it can be tough on the ears and eyes.

Not so that I may bash you, but do you have any of your work available online that I could watch? Thanks.

I wanted to share a poster for the film. The poster is not in finished form. There are some grammar elements that I should like to change, and one of the links with which the film is associated may not have information about the film yet, but I for one think the design has some nice features. A family member helped with this. A couple of people seemed to find it funny.

I made a 2nd trailer for this film, perhaps not as "wacky" as the first (to use the word someone else used to describe it on another message board), but shorter (it is 47 seconds):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_m33426-By4

The audio might not sound as bad just because it is mostly music.

I personally liked the first trailer, but I got mixed feedback about it. I am not sure if people will like or dislike this one more.
