I just received a letter from Michigan State University (I was part of the early notification program) and I've been accepted!
Next year I'll be attending James Madison, a political science related Residential College.

I'm hoping to study up on both US history and policy. That way, after a couple of years of teaching classes, I'll be able to be a high school teacher.

UofM is a great college. A lot of my friends go there. But I live right next to MSU campus. My parents and grandparents on both sides graduated from State. I was pretty much born a Spartan.
I wonder if I'll actually teach it once I get out of school. I have no doubt I'll find a lot of other great history related opportunities once I start really looking.

Ahh, okay. I approve of your reason then. I was at Purdue (Indiana) for a while but it got to far & expensive.
You could always play in a kickass band if you can't find work. That was my backup plan when I was a history major.
