I applied for a job there on Saturday, and today I got called for an interview! I'm stoked! I'm a poor college student because I have no job, and Zumiez is an awesome store, plus, you get commission. I also love working in retail. I worked at PacSun for awhile, and at Best Buy for a year.
Has anyone ever worked at Zumiez? How did you like it?

My friend worked there. She liked it well enough, but she had issues with the other employees and the manager shorting her hours.

I don't care how many hours I get because some is better than none which is what I have now! Plus I'm planning on being seasonal with the possibility of extending to part time, like every other weekend or something. And as I said, I'm a poor college student, so I'm not gonna be picky.

If you're a pot smoking lazy ass bum with a really outgoing personality, go for it. Thyre all nice and friendly but just not so great as employees.

I don't smoke pot, am not lazy, but I am outgoing. I know the manager at the store I applied to, and she's great! The store also hardly ever has employee turnover. Maybe your store sucks.
Really, I applied because I desperately need a job, they're hiring, and I like the clothes there. I also applied to Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret and Finish Line.

You act like it's all the same everywhere.
But that's good for you. Good luck on that interview. It's really hard trying to look for a job nowadays. I know a hand full of people who don't appreciate the little things and be picky about it especially when they have no experience at all.

I'm experienced in retail though. So it's not a shock that they're looking to hire me, especially since I worked at PacSun which is kinda similar, and, I used to chat with the manager pretty often.
