the health care bill that was passed in the Senate on Saturday prohibits coverage for abortions, except in the case of rape, incest or life-threatening situation.   but there was also an amendment that bans people who receive government subsidies from buying their own private health insurance that covers abortion.  so anyone who gets welfare or a disability is BANNED FROM BUYING HEALTH INSURANCE FOR THEMSELVES covering abortion.  Which 85% of health insurance plans do cover.

the Republicans always say they are against health care reform because they don't want the government to interfere in what kind of health care you receive ... but then they turn around and sneak in amendments that dictate what coverage you can buy with your own money!

I told people the bill as passed now does far more harm than good.

I told people the bill as passed now does far more harm than good.

people keep trying to sneak in little amendments and mandatory requirements to suit their own agenda, instead of genuinely trying to fix health care
