Okay so my boyfriend, my brother, and I were sitting in my living room watching the movie 21. At one point in the movie, these geeky guys are rating a girl at a bar and one rates her a 7.639 or something and the other says an 8 because he was rounding.

Well my boyfriend says to me (and did not mean to be heard by my brother) that he wouldn't have to round up because I'm the highest number there is.

I thought it was sweet, but when my boyfriend left to go to class, my brother said he can't stand it when guys are fake like that.

My boyfriend says stuff like this all the time and it's just the way he is. He's very emotional and enjoys showing/telling me how much he loves me in his little quirky ways.

Which do you think it was, sweet or fake?

No one's the highest number.  He's most likely just trying to be nice.

Even girls I find super attractive, I would never give a 10.  I think the highest I might give is an 8, and that's really pushing it.
