i admit i like to think i'm no dumb person, that infact i'm pretty clever... but i've found that i'm peeved by these people lurking writer's boards and LJ communities (they don't realize LJ died 10 years ago) and even LW who constantly talk in their "author" or "poet" speak. y'know what i mean. they're careful never to get the poo of everyday language on themselves. they're careful never to type "lulz" or "omg" because that simply wouldn't be what Smart people do, y'know? They like to capitalize Important Things that don't really need to be Capitalized, because it makes their writing Resemble the Declaration Of Independence Or Something Else Noble like Frederick Nietzsche. they like to talk about how politics is stupid. How if you support either major party, you're a mindless capitalist sheep. they like to talk about things such as how asexual they are or how they dislike children and how irresponsible and anti-intellectual it is to reproduce. they don't like to help anyone with real life advice, just leave comments in threads letting the OP know that due to their advanced nature, they don't have to deal with their Mauryish issues.
so who knows a person like this and thinks they should be sentenced (re-educated) to having to live 3 weeks in the local trailer park or ghetto?

being clever is cool though. being an intellectual just means you're not going to get laid. so therefore your special mental powers go to even less use for the human race because you don't get to insert your high IQ into the gene pool.
