who has had their parents divorce tell me that it gets better. Every ones tried to tell me not to worry about it, but I need to hear it from someone who has been through that.

My best friend, like my sister, her parents are divorced. She said it took a long time to get better. She even went into depression, self-mutilated, got into drugs and alcohol. She's clean now though. She said it took a long while, but eventually it did get better, it got easier. It still hurts in some ways, but it's easier.

My folks split probably about six years ago and I stopped talking to my mother around that time. It does eventually get better though. everyone moves on with their lives and hopefully moves past it all.

Don't worry kid, you'll be fine.

I promise, it'll get better within a year.  Don't rush it, but as your parents figure everything out and get into their new routines/homes, you'll feel at ease.  It's hard right now, but the fighting will stop, the tension will subside, and you will find yourself in a new world.
