My car has been giving me problems so we just rebuilt the head.  It was running like BRAND NEW and now I have coolant in the head and not in the oil pan and its over heating.   any help?

i have a 93 civic... but is it a vtec or something? does it have a coolant line running into the heads? or are you finding coolant up around the valves in the head?

okay i'm still learning about cars and how they work.  It is a VTEC.  its a 1.6L vtec sohc i just put a new head on it and  i know the gasket is on there correctly but i dont under stand how im gettin coolant under my valve cover, theres no coolant in the oil pan, (its not milky iin the oil pan just in the head) and its running out of coolant within a day or so..

If it was installed improperly (which isn't hard to do, it could've sat unevenly on the head. Old head gasket material even could've remained and made an uneven seal thus leaking shit.) then you could have this problem.

possible it is on head gasket... but worst case, your head is damaged or cracked.
