I think its a light with a camera that goes down your throat....They should numb your throat with a spray or give you an I.V to relax you.....

I have. It's not bad in the least, assuming you are going to receiving twilight sedation. It's really fucking unpleasant when you have to be unsedated, which is necessary for certain types of endoscopies. (Unless they mentioned it or it's more specialized than just a general upper endoscopy, you will be able to receive sedation.)
